Medford Soccer New Logo Competition

Introduction

The purpose of the contest is to design a logo for the Medford Soccer. This logo will be printed on all future Medford Soccer uniforms and branding.

Eligibility

The Contest is open only to players past and present in the Medford Soccer program. The Contest is not open to companies, educational institutions, organizations, etc. or to groups associated with such institutions.

How to Enter

Initial entries must be submitted by email to medfordsoccerU8agedirector@gmail.com or send via regular mail to 328 Malden St. Medford MA 02155.

Submissions must include the name, age, postal address, phone number and email address of the Entrant.

No more than 3 Entries may be submitted by any one Entrant.

Entries must conform to the Submission Guidelines set out below. Entries which fail to do so will be rejected.

The deadline for Entries is midnight (one minute after 2359) on December 5th 2011, Eastern Daylight Time.

There is no fee to enter the Contest.

 

Submission Guidelines

Logo should reflect the fun and exciting aspects of playing soccer!

  • Submissions should be no larger than 8.5x11. 
  • Submissions can be hand drawn or electronic. 

·         Submissions should look good in both color and black and white.

·         The logo needs to look good at relatively small sizes.

·         This image should not be photographic, but must be recognizable.

·         The logo must also contain the words "Medford Soccer".

·         The logo must not contain any other text besides that required above.

Prizes

Judging will take place at the December Medford Soccer Board of Directors meeting on December 12th 2011 with the winning design to be announced shortly after. The winning entry will then be produced by a professional local graphic designer for use on all Medford soccer materials. 

The winning designer will receive:

·         Free registration for the Spring 2012 season.

·         A Medford Soccer Charles River Apparel jacket branded with the new logo.

Judging and Selection of Winner

The winning design will be selected by judges who are current members of the Medford Soccer Board of Directors. Their decision will be final. No further correspondence shall be entered into.

The logo will be used online, in print and on merchandise. 

Medford Soccer reserves the right not to select a winner if, in its sole discretion, no suitable entries are received.

Medford Soccer reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant or Entry at its sole discretion. No correspondence shall be entered into.

Medford Soccer will assume all ownership of the logo.

Intellectual Property

All submitted work must be original and not based on any pre-existing design.

All Entries will become the sole property of Medford Soccer and may be displayed publicly on Medford Soccer web sites.
